We have banned meat meal, blood meal, fish meal or any animal by product from being present in our feeds. Our diet is 100% vegetarian, based on corn – and totally unique in Australia.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

All production is small scale, with low stocking densities, specially designed shelters and grazing yards, home grown grains and supplementary feeds – all of which provide an idyllic environment for our poultry and livestock.

And you can taste it in every mouthful.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_separator type=”transparent” position=”center” up=”80″][vc_column_text]

“To be singled out by an esteemed gathering of food industry critics and leaders is testament to our passionate and focused efforts to farm birds in a sustainable environment,” Saskia said.

Through maintaining close relationships with her local farmers, Saskia can control flavour and texture by managing every step of the process: diet, exercise, sunlight hours, and the age of the birds.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1610″ border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_separator type=”transparent” position=”center” up=”80″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row row_type=”row” type=”grid” icon_pack=”font_awesome” content_menu_fe_icon=”arrow_back” text_align=”left” background_color=”#efefef”][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_separator type=”transparent” position=”center” up=”80″][vc_column_text]

“I was at Thomas Dux today, my local gourmet supermarket. I was looking for something to buy for dinner, something simple, perhaps a chook to roast. I noticed the Saskia Beer’s Barossa Farm Produce chicken range, which I had overlooked many times before because it was more expensive than some of the other chickens on offer. Today I said, to hell with it, I’ll get one, just to see what I’m missing out on.

This is what chicken is supposed to taste like. It was so flavoursome, plump and juicy and I did nothing to it part from seasoning with salt, pepper and olive oil then roasting. Even the supermarket organic chicken has nothing on this product.

I just wanted to give Saskia Beer a shout out to say -thank you for making such awesome chicken. I had the best dinner in ages and THAT is saying something” ~ The Life She Made
